Directives are forms of language we use to correct our desires known. Whether they are expressed implicitly by indirect talking to actions (hints etc.) or utteredly done outward commands and various other direct dustup actions, directives are a necessary and common facet of our lingo. What happens and so, when we suppose our desires, but use less than polite ways to ca-ca them known? What happens when we embed vulgarities into our directives? It seems counter-productive, to me, to couple the brashness of taboo maledict words with our desire for some kind of action. My hypothesis is that through the use of vulgarities, or words considered taboo by the masses, we encode a sense of urgency to the directive and are more likely to get immediate results.
